From Asheville, NC

These were my first calla lilies, and they were a delight in the garden. Although I thought they would have partial shade, they turned out to be in practically full shad. But they did so well that I'm ordering several more for this year. They were very pretty.

These were a success, in pots, in CNY. I'll store for winter and see how they do next year, but I was pleased with them in year 1.

It took a while for these little guys to grow (one never did, which is why 4 stars), but the results were worth the wait. They are lovely blooms. They are smaller callas than other varieties I have.

They have green stems but didn't bloom this year. Disappointed!

Merchant Response

Thank you for sharing your review. We were sorry to hear the Free-Flowering Hybrid Calla Lily Intimate Ivory failed to bloom. Two reasons a Calla Lily may not bloom can be that they are not getting enough sunlight or it may be due to too much nitrogen. We are delighted to let you know we guarantee our merchandise and we will be reaching out to you with a positive resolution.

Disappointed

By Mr Green Genes

From KY

I purchased about 25 or more of these last year. Some in the ground others in containers. They never appeared to be white, more yellow than white. Nearly 1/2 never bloomed. I used phosphorus plant food and it didn't seem to help much.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Q
How do I care for a potted lily
Asked by Dorie
Verified Reply - ViciGrowing calla lilies in pots isn't difficult, but it does require the right container. Choose a deep container that’s about 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter, and that has plenty of drainage holes. Growing calla lilies in large pots will help to keep the soil moist, and will ensure there's plenty of room for the tubers to grow. Container-grown calla plants are usually watered when the first inch or two (2.5-5 cm.) of the soil is dry to the touch. They should then be watered deeply and thoroughly. Brown foliage tips can indicate overwatering. Calla lily in pots will also benefit from a general-purpose 10-10-10 or 5-10-10 fertilizer every 3-4 weeks in spring and summer. When blooming is finished, stop fertilizing. Calla lilies grow best in full sun to part shade. In containers, it is recommended that calla lilies be placed in a location where they can receive about six hours of sunlight each day.Was this answer helpful to you
