An alluring hybrid tea, In Love Again will delight gardeners with its vivid red color and exceptional performance. A standout in the rose community for its robust disease resistance and hardiness, it can be grown down to zone 5 under proper conditions. Common issues such as powdery mildew and rust are no problem for In Love Again. It also shows good resistance to black spot and downy mildew. The upright plant grows to 5' tall with a mature spread of up to 4' wide. Fragrance-free blooms grow to 4-5" wide, and are ideal for those sensitive to strong scents. A persistent bloomer from late spring to fall. PPAF

Growing Tips

  • Planting Instructions:

    Plant with crown even at soil level. Don't bury the crown, unless you live in a cold climate, the plant crown 2-3" below soil level. Full sun is best for quicker flowering and higher quality plants.
  • Soil Moisture:

    Well drained, humus enriched, slightly acidic
  • Will Tolerate:

    Clay Soil, Dry Soil, Loamy Soil, Sandy Soil
  • Pruning Instructions:

    Prune to shape. Remove any dead or damaged branches. Self cleaning petals drop and new buds appear without pruning.
  • Winter Care:

    Mulch heavily around the base of the plant. Remove promptly in early spring.
  • Planting Depth:

    Crown at ground level in mild climates, 2-3" below ground in cold climates
  • Watering Requirements:

    Roses prefer a thorough watering but do not like 'wet feet'. Water early in the day to avoid wet conditions into the night which can cause issues with fungus and disease.

We take advanced orders, and as the crops are harvested, our staff of K. van Bourgondien experts makes an on-the-spot selection of the finest bulbs available to fill those reservations.

Orders for gift certificates will be shipped immediately.

Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship any plant items from late June through August. General merchandise will be shipped with your plant order.
