Hardy Tall Phlox Olympus

Hardy Tall Phlox Olympus

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
The perfect companion for Norah Leigh, Hardy Tall Phlox Olympus boasts gorgeous contrasting blooms in bolder shades of mauve-pink to purple that look amazing in summer border gardens. The flowers' white centers pick up the varying shades of reddish-pink and white found on the striking variegated foliage, creating an elaborate display of color and flair. Like most tall phlox, Olympus is very fragrant, making it a wonderful addition to fresh-cut flower arrangements or mixed bouquets. Planted in groups, its scent is redolent throughout the entire area. Quite nice planted outside a window where the breezes can carry the fragrance indoors. PPAF

From Michigan

I have really no luck with bare roots. I live in Michigan and it is usually snowing when they arrive. I think to myself these people are crazy these will freeze to death. Well...this year I called and asked if it was really okay to put in the ground as there were snow flakes the day before. Customer service told me if I could dig, I could plant. So instead of keeping them in the house in pots where I have very little success I actually did what they told me to do. After about 2 weeks my first plant popped up. Now I did have frost one day and covered the plants the night before with pots even though only one had broken through, All of them are coming up. Only one is struggling behind the others. They were shipped when promised and this is the only business that shipped as promised that I ordered from. Still waiting for everyone else and we don't have long summers here :( The roots were a good size and appeared very healthy. I kept in garage for 2 days as I had to wait for the weekend to have time to put them in. Very happy with purchase. The pic's are taken 2 to 3 weeks after planting. Can't speak for blooming etc, but do as they recommend and I think you'll have success!
