Glamini® Gladiolus Luca

Glamini® Gladiolus Luca

These petite beauties put on quite a show in the summer garden. Glamini® Gladiolus Luca features lavender flowers with deeper purple edges and white flushing in the centers. Growing 24-26" tall, this gladiolus is half the height of the old-fashioned glads, but still has super bright colors that stand out at a distance. Since Glaminis are so short and naturally sturdy, they don't need to be staked, making them perfect for mixed borders, annual beds, tropical gardens, and even containers. Give them plenty of sun, well-drained fertile soil, and plant a batch of bulbs every other week in early spring for continuous gorgeous blooms. Deer tend avoid. Lift in the fall in zones 3-7.

Pretty blossom, delicate color. Unfortunately all my glads were infected with thrips and/or virus. All blossoms deformed. Just not able to grow glads in my garden.

I GOT PLENTY OF HEALTHY LEAVES, BUT NO BLOOMS.

Merchant Response

Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to hear the Glamini Gladiolus Luca failed to bloom. The most common reasons for gladiolus not flowering are because of too much shade, too much fertilizer, frost damage and slow draining soils which causes the roots to rot. We are delighted to let you know we guarantee our merchandise and we will be reaching out to you with a positive resolution.

These bulbs were planted in the Spring in a pot, given sufficient sun, warmth and water. The stalks grew tall and vigorously but none of them fliwered.

Beautiful lilac color; compact and cute

I just love these 'Luca' glamini glads! I purchased them last year (2020) and they bloomed beautifully. I live in zone 6b. I did not lift them in the fall and they came back this spring (2021). I was able to divide them and replant the bulblets, which also bloomed this year! Give these a try; you won't be disappointed!

I planted mine in a ceramic pot. They look so pretty grouped together. Their blooms are delicate and are not as long lasting as some of my larger gladiolus flowers. I am glad that I purchased them!
