Gladiator Allium bulbs boast large 6" flowerheads of violet-blue tipped silver on strong 60" stems. Blooming in June-July, they are carefree and rewarding with their deer resistance. Alliums will tolerate poor garden soil and once established, they will naturalize easily. They make excellent cut flowers.

We take advanced orders, and as the crops are harvested, our staff of K. van Bourgondien experts makes an on-the-spot selection of the finest bulbs available to fill those reservations.
We will pack and ship your order based on the following schedules. The type of product you order or the weather may affect the anticipated shipping schedule. Please note that we cannot ship outside of the 48 contiguous states. What zone am I in?

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your orders via USPS or FedEx.

Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship any plant items from late June through August. General merchandise will be shipped with your plant order.

Ordered 6 of these. All 6 had vegetation popping out of the ground. 1 of them did not make it much past vegetation stage and died back to the ground. The other 5 came up as expected! Beautiful!

Verified Reply - AngelaAllium is rarely bothered by insects. It's difficult to know how to stop them without first identifying the pest. It's possible they are leafminers. You can use sticky traps to get confirmation of the pests.Was this answer helpful to you

Do alliums have a pleasant fragrance or do they smell like onions?

Verified Reply - AngelaI have never noticed an onion smell from my Allium flowers. They do have a light pleasant smell at times. It's the leaves that have the onion aroma that deters pests. It's detectable to the creatures but not humans unless the leaves are crushed.Was this answer helpful to you
