FIRST YEAR FAILURE

Funny you should ask for my experience with these particular bulbs today. I just removed the failed blooms from them yesterday, see photos. I planted them last fall, soon after they were received. I was expecting a beautiful display this spring, but instead I got flower buds that never opened, and eventually dried brown. I picked them out of the compost this morning to photograph for you. There are a few left on the plants, but they too seem to be drying and not getting ready to open. Weather has been typical, no extremes, so can't blame weather. I am hopeful they will improve next spring. If not, I will remove them. Sad.
