If your gardening customers are in the market for a perennial with panache, introduce them to Mikayla Miranda. This stunning dinnerplate type sets flowers as large as 10-12" across on sturdy 48" stems. An exceptional garden performer, too, produces enough blooms to enjoy both outdoors in the landscape and indoors in decorative arrangements. Each fully double dahlia boasts layer upon layer of clean white petals edged in a crystalline lavender hue—what a sight they are in full bloom! We suggest showing them off in group plantings along borders or in feature beds. Planted near an entryway, they usher important visitors in with style.

Only a couple of dahlia flowered like the image. Most where white with a small purple edge around the edges of the blooms. Still pretty, but not exactly what I was looking for.

I received this dahlia Mikayla Miranda in late February 2022, which I shared with a friend. Due to a serious health condition in May, I was unable to plant this dahlia and my friend lost her dahlia plants to rabbit attack. we were heartbroken but our dahlia bulbs were still viable, and both my friend and I each have our first flower of Mikayla Miranda. It is a beautifully shaped fully formed flower with hues bluish purple tips. It is good size but gives the feeling of being a delicate painting. I can not say much about its productivity as this bulb has survived as much adversity as I have done. I look forward to more flowers from this gorgeous variety.

5 came and 6 grew!

Tubers arrived with perfect timing in early spring and were very healthy. I'm in zone 7b and although we should have been well past the last of the snow storms we had one more plus a good raining. I thought it would make them rot but they all grew! I even thought one "neck" that broke off didn't have an eye and my daughter asked if she could have it to plant elsewhere. I said it may not grow but you are more than welcome to try! It became our "ugly ducking dahlia" and was the healthiest, largest and first to bloom! I'm still waiting for the other 5 to produce blooms and it is August 13th but I have confidence from reading other reviews that we may go into October with this type of dahlia. She even attracted our first ever Misumena – Flower Crab Spider!

Mikayla owns the flower bed. The first to bloom and they bloomed all season, lots of flowers! Fun to watch because they're not all exactly the same, each bloom has some subtle or not so subtle differences. Love them!
