Much Taller Than Advertised

I was disappointed that this variety was listed as 14-20" in height, but all of them were 30"+ tall. At the advertised height, they would have been nice in containers on my patio; at their actual height, they toppled over.

Disappointed

By Flower Gal

I purchased two sets, 10 roots in all. Five are growing, nice green foliage but no flowers yet. Two of the other five had broken roots, but I planted them hoping for the best. I am disappointed. The five still show no signs of life. Hopefully the remaining five will flower soon.

Completely different than advertised

I love this company and order a ton of Dahlias every year. But this one was a complete miss. I ordered over 20 of these and the flowers were singles, and dark red. Not a double, or any purple anywhere!

Several pieces of roots, none complete. I planted them hoping. Simply, almost nothing but a few stalks inches high. Certainly no blooms. Most did not have eyes which may be the reason.

Few flowers

All five of my plants grew to varying sizes, but I only got a few buds and flowers on each one. Flowers were pretty, but not nearly as plentiful as live plants I've purchased in years past.

Avoid in zone 8 B

From Undisclosed

Verified Buyer

Do not do well in zone 8B. Out of the 250 dahlia bulbs planted (Border Dahlias Mixed, Decorative Dahlia Heatwave, Boarder Decorative Dahlia Go Go Purple, Dark Leafed Sunshine Dahlia )in May, I only was able to harvest 60 flowers worth putting in an arrangement by October 20.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Love this!

Submitted 3 years ago

By Agard

From Enterprise, Utah

Go Go Purple has performed so well! The blooms are beautiful, and the plant is packed with them. Strong stems, no need to stake. The color is a little more maroon than purple, but it's beautiful nonetheless. I can't wait to divide it and have more next year.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
