Pretty blooms

I was overall very pleased with these. I gave them a headstart in a container in a warmer/sunnier area, and once they started to sprout, moved them to a part shade/filtered sun area (where I've had difficulty getting other flowers to grow or bloom). The roots got quite long and are delicate, so not the easiest to transplant. If starting in containers, they probably each need their own pot. Three of the 5 still performed well, one was kind of scrawny, and one did not come up--probably the traumatic transplant. They bloomed for at least 2 weeks in June and then the flowers started turning green. I cut several and they lasted a long time in a vase. The foliage remained attractive and interesting (with the white--actually translucent-- spots) the rest of the summer, which was a great bonus. I dug up the I've ordered more calla lilies for this year!

My millennium gold callas have stopped blooming. I bought them in a potted container & transferred to an outdoor sunny garden. I have fertilized once since planting outside. Will This calla lily naturalize and return in following seasons in region 8B?
Asked by Sally
Verified Reply - Vici This calla lily needs to be lifted in zones 3 - 8. Because zone 8b is close to 9, it could return in your zone. You might want to cover it with mulch if you have an unusually cold winter. Calla lilies cannot tolerate freezing temperatures. Was this answer helpful to you
