Hyacinth Delft Blue

Hyacinth Delft Blue

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
One of our most popular varieties, Hyacinth Delft Blue features bright porcelain blue flowers that add charm and color to beds, borders and window boxes. It's a good choice for forcing for indoor blooms too. Growing 12" tall, this fragrant hyacinth blooms in early to mid spring and attracts pollinators. It's ideal for planting in formal beds or scattered in the border between ground covers and perennials or in small clumps in front of evergreens. Hyacinth bulbs are easy to grow and perform best when planted in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade. Deer tend to avoid.

I order these almost every year, and I've never been disappointed. In my zone 9 garden, they return for two or three years.

These were very healthy huge bulbs with lovely smelling flowers. They are more purple than the picture but there is definitely a beautiful almost iradescent blue color.

Every single bulb has come up, and they are all a gorgeous blue/purple otherworldly color. Hoping they are a little looser next year.

I use this to "paint" my garden

My favorite flower , Hyacinth, was planted as a filled in oval, and as an arch over tulips, as well as the beginning of a "cascading brook" along the swale. 70% returned for a 3rd year encore. Time to fill-in.

Blueish purple

By Lisa

From Philadelphia area

I am writing this review because the color was not as expected—definitely more of a purplish blue, which is extremely pretty to be honest, but not "porcelain" blue as they describe it.The flowers are large and fully formed. However, we had a very strong wind storm and they all blew over and didn't straighten up again, so something to think about if you deal with wind.
