Wrong variety but pleasant surprise

Submitted 2 years ago

By M

From Denver, CO

Received an orange cupped, cream flowered jonquil of some sort (I assume since many have 4-5 flowers) and not the pink pride I planned for. Gorgeous jonquil with great scent but I would have planted them somewhere else if I'd known since they're now mixed with a taller variety that blooms earlier and so get lost in the fading flowers of the earlier bloomer. Have ordered pink pride in the past from this company and got what I ordered but this year there must have been a mix up.

Sadly - not one bloomed. I chilled mine in the fridge for 12 weeks and they felt firm when I put them in the ground, but…. Nothing. It was a gamble in Florida 9b. I did have some of the tulips I bought and treated the same way come up and bloom.

No pink pride. All 100 came up and they are all yellow. So sad. Beware of the surprise.

Pink Pride is a cheerful late-bloomer that adds interest to the more traditional gold toned daffodils without clashing.

Good value

Submitted 4 years ago

By Max

From Denver, CO

Purchased 200 of these bulbs during the end of season sale. Planted them today and was very happy with the size and quality of the bulbs received for the price paid. These would have been good value at full price and were a steal at the end of the season.Other reviews mention receiving the wrong color. I'm hopeful this is not the case for me and will leave an updated review if so.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
