We have bought our strawberry plants from here for the past 3 years. The first 2 years the plants were excellent! Then last year (23) we had a 50% loss of plants. Something happend at the supplier end and the plants were not the same as previous.

Delicious and Abundant

Submitted 4 years ago

By Kate

From Brunswick, ME

Bought these on sale two years ago. They arrived late in the season and I didn't get them into the ground super immediately. That being said, I had a few flowers by the end of that season. Out of 100, I think only about 10 didn't make it. Last year was our first real season and I couldn't believe how many strawberries we harvested! They are my 2-year-old's favorite garden snack, and I still had enough to freeze. I'm ordering more. Can't get enough!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Q
We live in coastal South Carolina. My bareroot berries just arrived. Planting them out today. Will they fruit this year? It was my understanding tthat they would fruit in June and again in the fall. Is that correct? Thank you for your response
Asked by Don
Verified Reply - AngelaYou are going to love your Ozark Beauty Strawberries. They will fruit this year. We suggest you remove the first flush of flowers to allow the plants to establish strong roots. After that, you can allow them to flower and fruit. You will have fruit producing all summer and a large crop in the fall this year. Next year, you should have two large crops in June and Fall as well as intermittent fruits throughout the summer. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Does the strawberries take 2 years to fully grow and give fruits? Are they perennials in the north east
Asked by Ninito
Verified Reply - AngelaThe Ozark Beauty Strawberry plants are perennials in USDA Hardiness Zones 3-8. They will do well in your area. We suggest pinching the first flush of flowers to encourage root establishment. You will be able to harvest in June of the following year. Was this answer helpful to you
