True disappointment

Submitted 2 years ago

By JoeC

From Phoenixville PA

The irises arrived and I was shocked at what had been shipped. all of the rhizomes were shriveled and desiccated as well as being tiny(none was larger than a quarter) and none were viable. I did receive a full refund but the point is that my disappointment for one not having the product as well as the quality of my order over all, the other perennials were very small and not very robust samples.

Disappointed

I ordered the 5 mixed package last year. They were very late arriving and disappointingly tiny. I planted them the day they arrived in a bed that already had reblooming iris that are thriving. Not one grew.

We shall see

Submitted 3 years ago

By Luella

From Pendleton, IN

I ordered these for planting in the spring of 2022. It was $30 for 5 rhizomes. The 5 rhizomes I received last week were all smaller than the first joint on my thumb. The largest was 1" long by 1/2" diameter, the rest were smaller, and all were very dry. Yes, they all had a small leaf node, and irises are hard to kill; even small, dry tidbits have been known to grow, so I planted them immediately. We shall see if anything grows. Most of the items I have bought from K. van Bourgondien have been excellent, but I am very skeptical on this one.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This is my 2nd order of the reblooming Iris. The bulbs were much larger than the ones I received from a different company. They've just been planted and most are showing some green shoots. I look forward to seeing the blooms next year.
