Updating to 5 stars!

I originally gave these just 4 stars because only 2 bloomed in the first year, but I didn't realize the spread of bloom time! An additional 15 bulbs went on to produce flower stalks, and the blooms have now spanned 8 weeks! They're very tall and elegant and nice addition to my garden.

Healthy looking growth, only a couple flowers

Submitted 7 months ago

By Flower maximalist

From Zone 7a

The bulbs arrived in good condition, and all but one came up, despite the fact that I didn't get a chance to plant them until 6 weeks later. The foliage is a beautiful deep green and grew in strong and healthy, with many of plants hitting over 4 foot tall (a bit taller than anticipated). I did add some light supports after some of the leaves got partially bent during a storm. Only two of the bulbs have flowered, which I attribute to the late planting and the fact that it's their first year. However, the flowers are beautiful and elegant - fingers crossed for more next year!

Sadly, none of these bloomed this year; I bought them a couple of years ago and they were fantastic, but no idea why it was different this year.

Such a delightful and different gladiolus. I like them very much. Pretty white blossoms nodding in the breeze. These are the last blooms until next season.

Asked by Susan
Verified Reply - AngelaHi. I am not sure where you may have seen the recommendation for experienced gardeners. That is certainly not my experience.
