Received today after ordering one week, though it's quite late to plant in zone 7b. The bare root looks and smells great! I got 5 items, each in great quality. Two of them even have 4 strong eyes. These are some of the best root I received this year (bought 30). Very healthy and will buy again! I won't know the color of the followers until next year I guess.

Q
Do you plant ALL 5 together in the same hole? Also, do peonies draw ants?
Asked by Deborah
Verified Reply - AngelaEach Karl Rosenfield Peony will need their own hold. Plant them at least 32 to 48 inches apart. Herbaceous peonies do attract ants when in bloom. Itoh peonies do not attract ants. https://www.dutchbulbs.com/search?keyword=itoh+peoniesWas this answer helpful to you
Q
I planted my Karl Rosenfield late spring last year. My Peony has come back up this spring. However, it's very then looking. Do I just need to be patient or what?
Asked by The Gardener
Verified Reply - ViciPeonies take a few years to re-establish their root system. Annual fertilization of peonies works well when applied in two treatments. One should be applied before the leafy shoots commence growth in early spring and again right after flowering season has run its course. The early application can be applied any time from autumn until early spring. The first year it sleeps, the second year it creeps and the third year it leaps. You will see a big difference in the third year. Was this answer helpful to you

Asked by Dottie
