Giant Crocus Golden Yellow (C. vernus)

Giant Crocus Golden Yellow (C. vernus)

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Brilliant yellow flowers add plenty of cheer to containers, naturalized areas and gardens when they open in early spring. Growing 3-6" tall, Giant Crocus Golden Yellow (C. vernus) is a charming sight when planted in groups of a dozen or more. The cheery color also complements blue, white and purple giant crocus. For an impressive look, plant giant crocus bulbs in groups of hundreds and thousands for naturalizing in the grass, woodlands, slopes and under trees. Crocus bulbs multiply rapidly, so you'll enjoy more blooms every year.

About 25% bloomed

The color of the ones that bloomed was intense and very pleasing. When I got them, I potted them in 6" pots so that I could sell them at the farmers' market when they bloomed. The problem was that only about 25% of them bloomed.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

My giant golden yellow crocus have come back for the third year spelling the letter S as the middle letter of LSU. The purple crocus in the shape L and U are about to bloom. The neighbors walk or drive by to marvel at early blooming flowers in Omaha, NE that come back every year spelling LSU.

Well was looking forward to watching them grow and bloom but so far I'd say that only a third of them grew. They usually are so easy to grow but this time no luck

I have had great success with the bulbs I planted last year. I would say they are in a high-wind area and some have not survived the winds. Very good product.

I planted them on Fall, the color was as expected, the came up the first week of March and last more than I was expecting, most of the bulbs came up, the size is OK, they are still really tiny flowers but cute and a nice addition for a small section on the garden and it really nice to see some color when is still chily outside.

The yellow crocuses were beautiful and they all came up and bloomed. I only wish that you had had purple bulbs in stock when I ordered so that I could have mixed them! I will try again another year.

Q
If I plant Giant Crocus Golden Yellow in my lawn would I be able to use Weed and Feed or any kind of weed killer in my lawn later in the summer ?
Asked by Jim
Verified Reply - AngelaAll herbicides are different and the label should say if the product will harm bulbs. You can definitely use Wow! Supreme Pre-emergent Weed Killer and Lawn Fertilizer. It is safe for your bulbs. https://www.gardensalive.com/product/wow-supreme-trade-pre-emergent-weed-control-lawn-fertilizer.Was this answer helpful to you
