Treasured for its huge double flowers and bold, golden yellow color, Double Daffodil Golden Ducat makes a big impact when it opens in early to mid spring. The 4 ½" flowers look impressive in the garden, containers and cut-flower displays. By planting a variety of early, mid and late season bloomers, you can extend the daffodil and narcissus season for months. Growing 16" tall, Golden Ducat naturalizes well, reliably returning year after year. Easy to grow and deer resistant, daffodil bulbs perform best when planted in well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade.

Glowing gold suns

Submitted 3 years ago

These are magnificent glowing suns in your spring beds! At 20 inches, they are tall, the blooms are almost 3 inches across, and they are a deep sunny yellow. The only issue I have at all is that the blooms are a bit heavy, and with the unrelenting wind and rain we have had this spring they tend to fall over and the stems get broken. I don't think they have inherently weak stems, it's just been brutal weather this spring.

I purchased a large bag of Double Daffodil Golden Ducat for my nephew's garden. He was so pleased to have a large amount of a new variety to plant in his yard. The photos I received have encouraged me to order a bag of 100 for my own backyard this fall. The blossoms are heavy so plant in an area of the yard that is protected from heavy rainfall during blossom time.

Absolutely loving the daffodils I planted in fall. I planted 250 & they are just stunning. They have lasted so long & I still have some coming up in shaded areas. I would highly recommend these bulbs, in fact I am going to add more the coming fall.

Not too good.

About Five out of 100 bloomed. Mainly bc polar vortex nipped the buds. Otherwise it would have been good. Another type of daffodil with six flowers on a stem was mixed in and they bloomed before vortex hit which turned out to be a good thing.
