Tazetta Daffodil Geranium

of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Small-cupped daffodil makes a big impression when it blooms in mid to late spring. With up to six flowers per stem, each stem looks like a bouquet. Tazetta Daffodil Geranium features 2 ½" white flowers with orange cups. The flowers add charm to borders, rock gardeners, containers and naturalized areas. Growing 14" tall, Geranium Daffodil looks best when planted in groups. Like other daffodils, it prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It naturalizes well, coming back year after year. Deer tend to pass it by.

Lovely and Eye Catching, but the WRONG Daffodil

At first, I thought it was Daffodil Pipit that came up wrong, but once those showed up, and these still hadn't, the mystery was solved. So we have tons of these tiny flowers, maybe 1.5" across, that are yellow with bright orange cups....but none that are white and orange as shown here. I have to say, of all the daffodils that I planted, these were the ones that drew immediate attention from another, experienced gardener...even though they're not what I purchased and planted! Seeing someone else just posting another, comparable experience, I think I've finally solved one part of the "mystery daffodils I didn't order" puzzle. But, what are they? K.Van doesn't offer any tazetta variety in that color scheme currently, but other common tazetta varieties that I found include Falconet and Golden Dawn.

Very disappointed in this purchase. I was hoping to get geranium daffodils, white flower, but instead what bloomed is bright yellow and much shorter in height. Very inconvenient when I plan a garden based on color!!! Next time I will go with a different company. Bad experience.

I received exactly what I was looking for with the Tazetta Daffodil Geranium bulbs planted in my garden this Spring. My grandmother grew many, many varieties of daffodils, and my favorites were what she termed "Narcissis" which are very, very similar to these. The scent of these flowers is heavenly and the blooms last and last and last. Thank you for the excellent bulbs!
